In other news, here are some good historical webcomics that I've enjoyed lately:
The Adventures of Ellie Connelly -- and not just because Indigo linked me. This is shaping up to be a really fun series, and the art and design is wonderful. Go check it out!
The Phoenix Requiem -- How had I never seen this until last week? This stunningly gorgeous, lovingly rendered victorianesque comic is about 200 pages in to its narrative. I was completely riveted from first sight; read the whole thing so far in one sitting. Sarah is also the creator of the manga epic, Inverloch.
Tozo, the Public Servant -- I haven't had a chance to go through the archives of this strip yet, but what I've seen really makes me happy. It's done in a ligne claire style favored by creators like Herge (Tintin), and it looks really good.
The Rainbow Orchid -- this is another ligne claire style comic. It looks absolutely gorgeous, and though I haven't really sunk my teeth into it yet, I'm eagerly looking forward to it.

I did have a bit of a hard time reading the text. Had to go over it a couple of times to get some of it. Not sure if you need to replace it though.

Hi Jane,
the name in the first panel is a bit hard to read, I'd say. In the penultimate panel it's better. Apart from that, I could read it all with a little bit of effort. I think you can keep it like that.
And The Phoenix Requiem? Wow, looks great indeed. Gotta find the time to take a closer look.
Aiiiiee, is the preview of a coment supposed to be light yellow text on beige or something? Or did Firefox screw up?
All the best

I only had trouble with the word "near" in the second panel, otherwise I found the handwriting easy enough to decipher.

Thanks, guys. Much appreciated; the text will probably be getting some touchups before it goes to print, and the higher resolution and larger size is bound to help things as well.
Also, Jürgen: the previews page should be fixed now.
